As the interactive designer, you will directly support the recruitment of new students worldwide for all SCAD locations, as well as internal operations and communications. In this position you will work with the interactive team to translate strategy, information architecture, wireframes, and business goals into production-ready assets. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the website and all other SCAD interactive initiatives as needed and providing prototypes for individual work and the work of other members of the design team if needed. etc., to guide the vision of your design through to the final stages of development. You will work collaboratively with the development team to solve for progressive enhancement and graceful degradation.

The ideal candidate will have solid command of graphic and visual design, typography, information architecture, and user experience design best practices with examples of fully designed websites, mobile experiences, and apps. The candidate has a keen analytical mind, is a natural problem-solver, pays close attention to detail, and is capable of conveying design and interactions to coworkers, team leaders, and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • At least three years of professional experience in an agency environment
  • Experience with Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, HTML and more
  • Experience in an agile, scrum, Kanban, or sprint workflow

Preferred Qualifications:    

  • Master’s degree

Travel Required: Less than 10% 

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
