UW Information Technology (UW-IT) is the central information technology organization for the University of Washington, responsible for strategic planning, oversight, and direction of the UW’s IT infrastructure, resources, and services. UW-IT provides critical technology support to all three campuses, UW medical centers, and research operations around the world. UW-IT partners with the UW community to enable innovation, learning, discovery, and service.

The IT Infrastructure (ITI) division of UW-IT delivers the technology infrastructure required to sustain UW as a leading research, teaching, learning, and medical institution. These technologies support the UW’s core mission at all levels – research, teaching, learning, healthcare, and the necessary underlying administrative and operational functions required to deliver these services.

UW-IT is currently looking for an Integrations Engineer who will support the University’s large-scale project to modernize and sustain its finance operations, business systems and processes.

The Integrations Engineer will have responsibility to contribute toward implementation and sustainment of a large development effort with the new Finance system – Workday's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system. A disperse set of systems that will need to be updated to handle and address the changing needs of the finance process across the University of Washington. This position will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure that correct functionality is developed and allows the university to continue financial operations. This position will need to translate Finance requirements into Workday functionality. This engineer will develop solutions using a standard quality driven approach. The position will escalate gaps or trade-offs in designs across technical and non-technical audiences using effective communication skills. The Integrations Engineer will participate in recommending the most effective and efficient solution design over the course of the project implementation. This position also collaborates with peers and others to improve practices, processes, and tools for development, testing, and versioning, continuous integration, automated release and deployment of service changes, and operations and monitoring.
