Position Details

Information Technology & Security, Enterprise Solutions, at The University of Tampa has an available position for an Integrations and Solutions Specialist. This entry-level role will require on-the-job training and hands-on experience to become autonomous in the ability to build and maintain integrations. Under direct supervision, the incumbent will gain experience in understanding the many facets of disparate applications interaction. The Integrations and Solutions Specialist will report directly to the Assistant Director of Enterprise Solutions.

The incumbent will be expected to learn/complete the following competencies:
•    Earn certification(s) in an integration tool like PowerAutomate
•    Learn and utilize other relevant integration and reporting tools
•    Learn how to design and implement data integrations
•    Learn relevant programming languages (i.e., Java, JavaScript, XSLT, etc.)
•    Learn how to use secure methodologies
•    Learn about existing system integrations, reporting, and configuration via collaboration with team members
•    Learn existing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and deploy them in ways that benefit our operations

The incumbent will be expected to master (via on-the-job training and supervision) the following duties an Integrations and Solutions Architect normally performs.
Under direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Enterprise Solutions:
•    Adhere to the University’s integration and reporting strategy
•    Build and maintain Enterprise Applications integrations (i.e., Workday and third-party systems)
•    Work with software vendors regarding existing and new system integrations, reporting, and configuration troubleshooting and enhancements
•    Create reports and integrations between new third-party applications and the University’s student information system
•    Work with functional departments on best practices for Workday and other third-party applications
•    Work with and assist Business Analysts with supporting functional departments' use of various enterprise applications
•    Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds

Qualifications
•    Working on or earned an undergraduate or graduate academic degree in a computer or technically related field
•    Interest in application technology platforms and technologies
•    Interest in the performance of integrations that allow 2 or more disparate applications to exchange data with each other so they can function properly and securely
•    Technical aptitude
•    Demonstrated critical thinking and logic in coursework or work experience
•    Aptitude to learn advanced Excel skills
•    Familiarity with Python, SOAP-REST, or other programming languages is a plus
•    Higher Education experience preferred but not required
•    Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office
•    Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices

Work Schedule
•    Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
•    Summer Schedule:  Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
•    Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
