Description of Work Unit
The Department of Biology at Colorado State University (CSU) is one of eight departments in the College of Natural Sciences. The Department has a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as excellence in research. 
 
The Department of Biology has an international reputation for excellence in research across a broad array of disciplines, including cell and molecular biology, physiology of plants or animals, animal behavior, ecology, evolutionary biology and computational/theoretical biology.

Position Summary
The Department of Biology seeks applications from individuals who are interested in temporary teaching assignments for undergraduate and graduate courses. The open positions will be non-tenure track assignments. The major commitment will be teaching undergraduate or graduate courses. In general, the instructor is expected to interact with other members of the department including faculty, staff and students, enriching and enhancing student education offered by the Department of Biology at Colorado State University. 
 
Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and/or the continued availability of funding.

Required Job Qualifications
An MS degree in an appropriate discipline is required. 
Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.A. by the proposed start date. The Department of Biology will not sponsor a visa for hires from this pool.
Preferred Job Qualifications
A Ph.D. degree in an appropriate discipline is strongly preferred.

The open pool positions are available for people to apply for one year. If/when the department decides to hire an instructor, they may choose to hire from the candidates in this open pool.
