Job Summary:

The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Endocrinology has an opening for a full-time Instructor.  This position will provide clinical and academic support to the Endocrinology section of Children's Hospital Colorado at Briargate in Colorado Springs.

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Provides oversight and care for patients within the Endocrine section in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Care coordination with Primary Care providers, as well as subspecialty clinics.
  • Provides academic support through the training of fellows, residents and medical students.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • MD degree or equivalent.
  • Board Certified or Eligible Pediatric Endocrinologist
  • Meets the requirements necessary to obtain a medical license in the State of Colorado.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of pediatric residency
  • Training in Pediatric Endocrinology
  • At least 3 years experience in one or more areas of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes. This experience can include fellowship.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and ability to provide medical management to children with endocrine-related diagnoses
  • Ability to collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants and nurses to form a high performing medical team
  • Knowledge of academic medical institutions

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

    $130,000 - $140,000

    The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
