Summary of Job Duties:

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in traditional and online distance learning environment; supervise teacher candidates in field and internship placements, participate in public school partnerships; serve on university, public school, state and community committees; advise undergraduate candidates; provide service in community and professional organizations; engage in collaborative projects with university and P-12 faculty; commitment to student success; seek grants to support curriculum, program research and development.

Qualifications:

Doctorate or ABD in education preferred, and demonstrated expertise in current K-6 elementary pedagogy required.  Master’s degree considered when exceptional expertise can be evidenced in content areas; Knowledge of current K-6 instructional strategies, assessment techniques, data analysis, and experience teaching in an online format is preferred.  Experience working with diverse student populations.  The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills.
