The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures seeks a classicist with a track record of energetic, engaged undergraduate teaching and a commitment to widening access and participation in the discipline. The successful candidate will teach Greek and Latin at all undergraduate levels, courses in Greek and Roman literature, history, and civilization, A record of successful language teaching, especially at the beginning level, is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach 4 sections (12 credits) each semester; participate creatively and constructively in Departmental meetings.

Required Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Classics, or closely related field.

Desired Qualifications:

The Department of Languages, Literatures and Culture seeks candidates who bring innovative approaches to teaching and can inspire students in the study of Classical culture and literature.

Salary Grade:

FA01 - Faculty

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
