Job Summary
The College of Business invites applications for part-time instructors in the areas of Marketing, Business Analytics, Business Statistics, and Business Law to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2023-2024 academic year. These appointments are fixed-term, non-tenure track, with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the Dean. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Dean.

The College of Business is comprised of three schools: Accounting, Finance and Information Systems (AFIS); Management, Entrepreneurship and Strategy, and Supply Chain (MESC), and Marketing, Analytics and Design (MAD). The College supports over 4400 undergraduate majors, 750 minors, and 250 graduate students. The College of Business joins with other departments and colleges in new initiatives to respond to the needs and concerns of OSU’s increasingly multicultural student body, and to join the ranks of top tier colleges of business across North America in teaching excellence, cutting edge research, industry partnerships and community service.

Key Responsibilities
90% Teaching
  • Instructors may be needed to teach courses in the following areas: Marketing, Business Analytics, Business Statistics, Business Law.
  • Teaching assignments may include course delivery in any format – site-based in-person, asynchronous online, or hybrid combinations of online, site-based in-person, and/or remote instruction.


10% Service/Professional Development
  • Service to College, University, and profession.

What You Will Need
  • Master’s degree in appropriate business-related field.
  • A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
What We Would Like You to Have
  • PhD in appropriate business-related field.
  • Teaching experience at the college or university level.
  • Evidence of educating and mentoring a diverse group of learners, which may include experience with serving on student thesis committees, directing internships, student mentoring or advising, service learning courses, sponsoring clubs, or innovation pedagogies such as hybrid or online learning as appropriate.
