Description of Work Unit | The Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Biology Department expands the frontiers of knowledge through our broad-based expertise in applied ecology, quantitative methods, and human dimensions in the conservation and management of fish and wildlife. We teach students to think critically about environmental issues, and become ecologically literate citizens with the training to be successful in graduate school and in careers with natural resources agencies, firms, and non-government organizations. Our outreach efforts contribute significantly to life-long learning by assisting individuals and agencies to solve complex environmental problems and to be good stewards of our nation’s natural resources. |

Position Summary | These positions will vary depending on our teaching needs in any one semester. They may teach online courses for our professional Masters in FWCB, online classes for the CALAP Certificate program, or undergraduate RI classes covering teaching needs. They will be responsible for developing and imparting the class, proctoring and grading assignments and tests, and submitting final grades. The positions will be for temporary part-time Instructor, Master Instructor, or Senior Instructor. Title will be decided based on experience. |

Required Job Qualifications | PhD student or Ph.D. in ecology or wildlife or conservation biology or a closely related discipline; or M.S. and 10+ years of professional experience that provides the background to teach a particular course. |
Preferred Job Qualifications | Experience teaching in fish, wildlife, and conservation biology courses or closely related disciplines. |
