Position Overview

Position Summary

*Two Positions Available* 
Under the direction of the Social Work Program Director, provide instruction and support to the social work students and the social work program. This is a non-tenured position.

This is a residential appointment and campus presence is required. 


Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Faculty will provide quality instruction in courses they are assigned. 
  • Advisement and mentoring 
  • Attend departmental and university faculty meetings 
  • Assisting with the CSWE accreditation standards 
  • Other appropriate duties as assigned by Social Work Director or as outlined in the Faculty Handbook. 

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • LMSW in Social Work Required. (LISW, DSW, and Ph.D. are welcome) 
  • Two years of teaching experience preferred 
  • At least two years post maters experience.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Applicants must possess strong interpersonal ad communication skills and commitment to excellence in teaching students of diverse backgrounds.

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

  • Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
