Position Overview | Prepare and teach one section of BUAD 1001: Business Day 1 (3 credits). Course Description: An overview of the functions of a for-profit business concern. Students are exposed to the basic concepts of business such as accounting, economics, finance and budgeting, marketing and promotion, operations, and the management of human resources. Students manage a simulated business concern and make decisions on issues such as pricing, employment, operations, promotions, and ethical situations. Exploration of self-awareness, character development and leadership and how those elements factor into personal development as well as the performance of the business operation. |
Duties and Responsibilities | Prepare a well-organized syllabus and teaching plan that clearly reflects the course objectives as well as expectations, conduct well-prepared class sessions that effectively deliver the course content and engages students, administer meaningful and relevant assignments, and grade students’ work with an emphasis on student development. |
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree. |
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Teaching experience in the relevant area at the university level or professional training experience strongly preferred. |
