Position Overview
The Department of Economics is hiring one or two part time instructors to teach Principles of Macroeconomics. The course covers processes and determinants of overall economic activity and growth. Topics include national income accounting, aggregate output, unemployment, inflation, money and banking, monetary and fiscal policy, and international economics. Must be available to teach MWF 8:00am – 8:50 am and/or MWF 10:00 am – 10:50am. Please identify desired course time(s) in your cover letter.
Duties and Responsibilities
The instructor is responsible for the effective delivery of the course as described in the course syllabus. The instructor must prepare and distribute the course syllabus, grade exams and other assignments in a timely manner and submit grades at the end of the semester due date. The instructor must also have office hours at least once a week for a minimum of two hours.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
