Posting Text | The USD Department of English seeks an instructor to teach a range of general education and more advanced writing courses in a nine-month, full-time position with benefits. Teaching responsibilities may include Composition I, Composition II, Business Writing, and/or Professional Writing. Courses may be face-to-face or online modalities. This position has a teaching expectation of 24 credits per year with some departmental service expectations. Required qualifications: 1) an advanced degree in English (Masters or equivalent) 2) demonstration of teaching excellence Preferred qualifications: 1) additional work experience, training, or certification in English for Speakers of Other Languages 2) experience teaching in online modalities This position will begin in August of 2024.
