The School of Applied Sciences at The University of Mississippi is seeking applications for Instructor/Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the Tupelo Campus. This is a nine-month, non-tenure track position at the rank of instructor or lecturer as determined by teaching experience in higher education, and research/community engagement/scholarly achievements. The successful candidate may begin as early as January 2022.

The successful candidate will primarily teach courses in the Bachelors of Social Work (BSW) program on the Tupelo Campus with some undergraduate and/or graduate teaching assignments on the main campus in Oxford or other regional campuses (https://www.outreach.olemiss.edu/regional/). The hire will maintain expertise in assigned areas of teaching, involvement in research/community engagement/scholarship sufficient to be recognized as graduate teaching faculty, assist with student recruitment, retention, and graduation. In addition, the hire will develop and/or teach undergraduate and/or graduate online courses, monitor student progress, assist with field service records, field instructor training, development and maintenance of internship sites, and serve on various departmental committees.
