Duke University Instructor in Classical Studies

The Department of Classical Studies at Duke University seeks to appoint a one year instructorship with specialization in Greek and Latin language and literature for 2022-23. Through research, teaching, and service, the Instructor will contribute to the overall mission of the department. We seek candidates with wide interests who can teach Greek and Latin at all levels. The successful candidate will teach a 2-3 course load. The anticipated language courses for 2022-2023 include sections of introductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate Latin spread out across the year as well as advanced intermediate Greek. For these reasons, evidence of excellence in language teaching is essential.
