Description of Work Unit
The School of Education faculty is comprised of educator-scholars whose expertise spans diverse learning contexts and populations. Innovative instruction, diversity/equity/inclusion, technology-enhanced learning, distance education, service learning, professional development school partnerships, and rigorous research are embodied in all of our programs. Our faculty members’ philosophies and areas of expertise, along with the School’s core values, guide our pedagogical and inquiry practices, which are typically both interdisciplinary and applied.

Position Summary
The School of Education seeks applications between July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Center for Educator Preparation for the 2021-2022 academic year. Instructors teach undergraduate pre-service teaching courses in one or more areas of; 
 
- PreK – Grade 3: Early Childhood Education 
 
- Kindergarten – Grade 12: Art, Foreign Languages, Instructional Technology; Music 
 
- Secondary – Grades 7-12: Agricultural Education, Business Education, English, Family and Consumer Studies, Marketing Education, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Speech, Technology Education. 
 
Desirable candidates can teach these courses face-to-face, online, on-campus, and in local schools in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding. Conditions of Employment Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)
Required Job Qualifications
• Earned masters degree in education or a related field 
 
• P-12 teaching license and/or a minimum of 3 years professional work experience in P-12 teaching or administration.
Preferred Job Qualifications
• Earned doctorate degree in education or a related field 
 
• Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students using face-to-face and distance technologies 
 
• Evidence of successful collaboration with public school teachers and administrators 
 
• Experience in course development 
 
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and practice 
 
• Evidence of or potential for scholarship and publication commensurate with a research university (high research activity)
