Position Summary | The Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University seeks applications for a 12-month non-tenure track Instructor or Assistant Professor in Equine Critical Care Service. The Equine Critical Care Service position is responsible for the management of the equine critical care caseload at the VTH. This position will support both clinical and didactic teaching in the DVM program, graduate student/resident and fellow training, and research in the area of Equine Critical Care Service. The position also supports an important clinical service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) both in terms of client service and revenue generation. This faculty position will provide 34 to 40 weeks of clinical service. Additionally, we expect the successful candidate will develop an independent impactful research program and participate in collaborative research. Numerous opportunities for collaborative research exist throughout the college and university. |

Required Job Qualifications | Instructor: · DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree. · At least 3 years of experience, including completion of residency training in either large animal surgery, or LA emergency/critical care with advanced surgical training. · Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team atmosphere. Assistant Professor: · DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree. · Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or American College of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care (LA) · More than 3 years of experience in clinical service and instruction of veterinary students and residents . · Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team atmosphere. |
