Job Summary/Basic Function

The College of Business Administration and Information Sciences (COBAIS), invites applications for a pool of candidates to fill anticipated temporary faculty positions. The Department of Accountancy is an integral part of the College of Business. The College of Business has been accredited by AACSB International since 1998. Our mission is to prepare our students for success as ethical business leaders and professionals in a dynamic, complex global environment through high quality, challenging academic and related programs, while serving the academic and business communities through effective teaching, scholarly contributions, and appropriate service to the university and the region. Our Accounting Program is led by a dynamic department chair and has an undergraduate degree with two concentrations as well as a Master of Accounting degree. We are currently in the market for an instructor in the area of taxation. We need someone to teach personal and business taxation both face-to-face and online in the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Our teaching facilities currently allow for face-to-face, ITV, and online classes. We believe in the applied method of teaching, using the profession’s best practices throughout our curriculum.

Required Qualifications

Required qualifications include: Master’s Degree in appropriate field with appropriate certification or terminal degree (PhD or JD) or ABDs with significant progress on dissertation from a regionally accredited institution, with significant background in accounting; research, publication and excellent teaching and service records and a successful completion of interview. Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include: PhD in Accounting from an institution accredited by the AACSB-International, or a JD with a CPA certificate who practices income tax preparation or ABDs with significant progress on dissertation, from a regionally accredited institution, with significant background in accounting; research, publication and excellent teaching and service records; and successful completion of interview.
