JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Statistics is seeking an Instructional Production Specialist-Intermediate and Senior Support to provide administrative and specialized support to our online design team in the production of online courses. The position will entail a variety of tasks such as: the development of new and revised online course notes in both the content and learning management systems; managing the semesterly repeat tasks of the online STAT courses; reviewing course content for accessibility and quality; provide expertise to faculty on various educational technologies; creation of basic graphics; educational video editing; and serving as the point of contact and resource for our current and future educational technologies.

A baseline level of technology skills related to Web Production (HTML/CSS) and proficiency in MS Office is required. Ideal candidates will have experience with content management software systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress); experience with learning management systems (Canvas); knowledge and experience with digital accessibility standards; have an aptitude for technology, creativity, and innovation; possess strong writing and editing skills and excellent attention to detail; and demonstrate the ability to interact with a diverse group of subject matter experts. Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies is required. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing is essential along with the desire to provide excellent service. Candidate must have good time and project management skills while working on multiple projects.

Education and Experience

This job will be filled as an Intermediate or Senior Support level, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a Intermediate level. Senior Support level candidates demonstrate extensive experience and proficiency of the skills and competencies listed above. Evidence of experience and leadership on projects or teams around educational technology or online course production is also required for Senior Support level consideration.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$34,800.00 - $55,500.00
