Wanted:  Instructional Designers of all levels!!!

We are seeking multiple instructional designers with various levels of experience.

Here’s a Glimpse of the Job

Are you excited about instructional design, but have very limited experience or a lot of experience?  Do you want to develop and/or revise learning activities that promote learner engagement and interactivity? Do you enjoy designing and developing innovative and high-quality in-person, virtual, self-directed, and on-demand learning activities in alignment with instructional design best practices? Or maybe your passion is researching and evaluating emerging instructional design innovations and trends while providing support to System Training Coordinators with the course design process and Texas A&M University System’s learning management system? The Organizational Development unit in the Division of Human Resources & Organizational Effectiveness is seeking Instructional Designers. At Texas A&M, the Organizational Development unit is recognized for their integral work in promoting professional development of Texas A&M University employees.  The unit is committed to building capabilities, engagement and performance through innovative, high-quality learning and development solutions.  We want you to be a part of our success story as we forge new pathways to educate our employees on their job functions and support their career development. 

Opportunities to contribute:

  • Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) and the OD Staff on the planning of media assets, to include video, audio, and graphics.

  • Provides training to learning facilitators on the LMS and other learning technologies associated with the digital learning environments (e.g instructional technologies, Zoom, and other third-party tools).

  • Evaluates the quality of learning activities and participant materials designed against accessibility standards and instructional design best practices.

  • Assist with providing support to Texas A&M University System’s learning management system to all system-members.

Qualifications:

Instructional Designer I

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Instructional Designer II

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Two years of related experience

Instructional Designer III

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Four years of related experience in instructional design.

A well-qualified candidate for any of these positions may also possess:

  • Experience with D2L Brightspace learning management system, or other digital learning environments, and instructional technology tool integration.
  • Experience curating, researching, writing, proofreading, and editing instructional materials.
