Summary

Guides faculty in the design and development of online courses

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborates with faculty in the creation of new online courses
  • Recommends the appropriate tools, media, and teaching strategies to accomplish course goals, objectives and outcomes, assisting with the identification, selection and application of appropriate assessment tools and strategies needed by faculty
  • Develops and delivers initial faculty development in the effective application of online tools, course design and instruction
  • Oversees the course development process, monitoring that deadlines are met and that courses meet university standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a master's degree
  • Moderate amount of experience in instructional design or in other related work
  • Ability to work remotely on a part-time basis, approximately June-August 2020
  • Experience with Blackboard

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, instructional design or a related field of study
  • Experience collaborating with faculty in the design of online courses in higher education
