Instructional Designer III

Creighton University is seeking to hire an Instructional Designer III.  This position will serve as a resource for administrators and faculty in the use and application of varied academic technologies in support of programming in the Office of Faculty Affairs in the School of Medicine and the College of Professional and Continuing Education.  

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The primary responsibilities for the Instructional Designer are faculty development, onboarding programming, and other activities in support of the School of Medicine, the College of Professional and Continuing Education, Office of Faculty Affairs, and educational programs.

 

The designer will work collaboratively with faculty, external subject matter experts, administrators, and staff to support faculty and external subject matter experts in the use of the learning management systems, lecture capture software, classroom polling software, and other academic technologies used in education, workforce development, corporate, continuing education, and professional development training programs delivered online, hybrid, and on-ground at the Omaha and Phoenix Regional Campuses and surrounding geographical regions. The designer will apply the appropriate blend of pedagogy and technology into faculty modules and onboarding curriculum. This position will include both remote and in person working environments.

 

 

Qualifications

 

·       MS or MA in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field required

·       5+ years of related experience in an academic learning environment required

·       3 + years of experience as an instructional designer in higher education, trainer or developer in a corporate, business, or workforce education environment preferred
