The Instruction Librarian serves as a part of the new Instruction Department which offers a range of programs and initiatives that support student learning, access to essential tools and resources, and undergraduate student success. |

The Program | |
The Department | The Instruction Department is a newly formed unit intended to provide a more intentional approach to the Montana State University Library’s teaching, with particular focus on early-career undergraduate students. The department offers a variety of approaches to instruction including workshops, embedded course instruction, tutorials, one-on-one consultations, and credited instruction. The department’s leadership is 3-year rotating position, giving all Instruction Department members the opportunity for skill-building and advancement in a leadership role. |

The MSU Library has around 50 faculty and staff employees, including 14 tenure-track faculty, 33 staff members, and 25-30 student employees. |
