Major Duties

Under the general supervision of the game day director and producer, the Instant Reply Technician reviews game footage to identify plays or situations that require instant replay review for both men’s and women’s basketball games. The incumbent maintains clear and effective communication with the officiating crew, ensuring they have the information they need to make informed decisions.

  • Works closely with on-court officials to assist in making accurate calls by providing video replays; follows established review protocols and procedures, including when and how to initiate a replay review
  • Provides quick and accurate feedback to the officials, coaches, and broadcast teams to minimize disruptions to the game.
  • Operates the video replay equipment, including the use of multiple camera angles and slow-motion capabilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a live replay sports environment or In-Venue Production desired.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Policies significant to the sport of Men’s and Women’s Basketball.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work the entire event, including pre and post-game activities.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Classification: Casual Worker / 1800  / 0
  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $16 - $35 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $16 - $140 per hour.
  • HOURS: Intermittent, on-call; hours and schedule vary; must be available for weekdays, weekends, and evening home game matches.
  • This is a Temporary position; end date to be determined.
  • The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
