Summary
The Infrastructure Cloud Services team is a dynamic department comprised of subject matter professionals in virtualization, storage, compute, database development and administration as well as cloud architecture and automation. Our department provides full support and implementation for all of the computing, database and storage needs for the college. As such, we provide highly resilient solutions with supportable topology and forward moving automation. Each team member works closely with other team members as we in unison with network services and operations as well. We support and provide mission critical applications as well as business critical and development environments as well. The use of our offerings span across clinical, research and academic as well as enterprise to provide a 5 – 9’s up time.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the design, development and implementation of SAP, EPIC and ancillary system environments which will adequately support the infrastructure of the organization.
- Leads in the design of the infrastructure in support of processes and technologies to meet operations objectives for mission critical encvironments.
- Plans and designs automation systems for existing applications and databases to facilitate consistency and supportability in VMware, Oracle, SQL and Linux operational functions.
- Leads collaboration between core infrastructure and application teams related to infrastructure needs.
- Leads infrastructure team in creating and maintaining documentation on the infrastructure environment.
- Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will offer security and will be effectively integrated with current infrastructure and application sets.
- Seeks innovative solutions to problems and makes recommendations for implementations.
- Works with programming tools such as Powershell, SALT, Service Now API's and Hansible for automation projects.
- As a part of the Office of Information Technology team, participates in business requirement gathering sessions, gathers user data requirements, understand the user requirements and assist in the reconciliation of technical and business requirements as they relate to infrastructure.
- Participates in the evaluation and recommendation of the appropriate infrastructure management platform tools, procedures, and facilities for creating and maintaining the enterprise infrastructure.
- Maintains, governs and enforces infrastructure analyst-related standards.
- Provides project reports and other documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provides quality assurance for respective projects.
- Identifies and evaluates future technologies for applicable solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Five years of relevant experience.
