POSITION SUMMARY:
The Information Technology Support I for the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) is a full-time employment position reporting to the Director of Technical Resources and Support. The Information Technology Support I position is a technology-focused customer service position that provides support and expertise to the UAGC community at large. The Information Technology Support I is required to be dynamic in the systems they support and the way they deliver service to our customers to ensure the highest level of technical support is maintained for the UAGC community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain in-depth knowledge of technology, systems, and tools that the UAGC community utilizes, including Microsoft Azure, Endpoint Manager, Microsoft SCCM as well as a suite of other SaaS applications
Provide world-class support on the technology, systems, and tools that the UAGC community utilizes
Participate in the configuration and deployment of computer hardware
Assist in the creation and upkeep of documentation on the technology, systems, and tools that the UAGC community utilizes
Collaborate with other members of the UAGC IT team and the UAGC community at large
Stay up to date on security best practices and policies, and keep UAGC community informed and aware of those best practices and policies
Function on a team of remote and in-person support staff and contribute to the overall success of team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year experience supporting mid to high level information technology environments or equivalent experience in a similar role
Experience supporting customers in a remote work environment
Experience working within and supporting Windows and Macintosh environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years’ experience supporting mid to high level information technology environments
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required
Experience working with service desk systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar
Experience working with mobile device management tools, preferably Microsoft Endpoint Manager
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use a telephone and computer. The employee may frequently interact with fellow employees and/or clients. The requirements of this job may be completed with or without reasonable accommodation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to work in an office environment, where the noise level is usually moderate to loud.
