Description of Work Unit
Position will function as a part of the Warner College Technology Services team, linked to the Warner College Dean’s Office. Warner College of Natural Resources (WCNR) Technology Services provides computer and information technology support to WCNR faculty, staff, and students in support of the teaching, research, and service mission of the college. The support services offered include endpoint computing (desktop/laptop) technical assistance, research computing, administrative server-based services and infrastructure management, network storage, communication/collaboration technology support, and instructional technology services.
Position Summary
This full time Administrative Professional position’s primary responsibility is providing endpoint computer support for Warner College of Natural Resources faculty, staff, and students.
This position requires someone who is reliable, responsible, ethical, and able to complete tasks with a team and independently with minimal supervision.
The Information Technology Professional must be comfortable working with different user bases such as students, faculty, staff, and administration.
This position’s work location is on Colorado State University’s Fort Collins Main Campus.

Required Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience providing computer support in an enterprise environment
  • Experience providing printer support in a networked environment
  • Knowledge and experience with configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS computers in a networked environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with constituents representing wide variability in technological understanding
  • The position requires bending and lifting equipment weighing up to 25 pounds when working on installs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date.
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Experience with device imaging with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager or similar
  • Experience providing desktop computer support in an academic environment
  • Experience providing desktop computer support to remote employees
  • Experience using a help desk ticketing system for support requests
  • Experience with cloud-based communication and collaboration services such as Microsoft 365
  • Working knowledge of configuring and using Microsoft 365 services with iOS and Android-based devices
  • Programming experience with scripting languages

Job Duty Category Endpoint Computing Technical Support Services
Duty/Responsibility
Provide endpoint computing support to faculty and staff in designated departments. Endpoint computing support includes:
· Providing computer technical support to faculty and staff located on the CSU campus and remotely
· Monitor the College help desk ticketing system for technical support requests
· Microsoft Windows and macOS operating system installation and updates
· Software application installation
· Commercial cloud-based computer backup service configuration
· Perform desktop and laptop Active Directory network integration
· Maintenance of technology in College conference rooms and classrooms
· Providing printing technology management and support to ensure a printing capability.
· Providing support for iOS and Android-based devices for faculty and staff to ensure they have access College and University information technology services.
· Providing desktop and laptop purchasing recommendation/consultation service
Endpoint computing support services are provided to ensure faculty and staff endpoint computing technical support needs are met in support the teaching, research, and service mission of the college.
