Position Summary:

UDRI is seeking a Junior Information Systems Security Administrator to drive the development and implementation of IT system security plans and policies for our cutting-edge research labs. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's compliance with CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 guidelines. The Cybersecurity team is responsible for ensuring security principles and company security policies are adhered to in the design and delivery of systems and software.

Key Responsibilities include:
· Develop comprehensive System Security Plans (SSPs) in alignment with CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 standards
· Develop system inventories and assess compliance with SSPs and organizational policies for IT systems within research labs
· Periodically audit labs to ascertain the effective implementation of established controls
· Identify and implement solutions to complex scenarios accounting for both security and operational requirements of IT systems through collaboration with the IT and Research departments
· Communicate security requirements to lab researchers based on SSPs and organizational policies
· Report on the status of security posture and compliance to the IT and Cyber Security management team

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of three years of experience is required.
• Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• One year of experience configuring employee workstations/laptops, employee accounts, and active directory
• Knowledge of hardware and software procurement and inventory management
• Experience performing basic system and user administration tasks for Windows Server
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

· Experience in information systems security
· Active Security+ certification
· Familiarity with CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, and/or NIST SP 800-53 guidelines
· Experience with Windows, Linux, and Network Operating Systems
· Strong understanding of the cyber threat landscape, particularly in the context of research institutions
