|Summary of Duties||
Enters and retrieves police records data from automated records management system, archives police records data on archival records system, including microfilm. Acts as initial point of contact with the public (both in person and on the telephone), maintains statistical data and receives and processes requests for information. Copies reports and other documents. Analyzes police incident data and prepares reports for other Public Safety Employees. Prepares reports for outside customers of Public Safety.

One year of experience (1000 hours of course work or training) in customer service or communications, including analyzing and interpreting information; six months of experience (600 hours of training) in operation of computer and related peripheral equipment; three months of experience (300 hours of course work) in information research and analysis.
Bachelor’s degree; ability to perform office functions such as answering phone, typing, filing and data entry; one year of experience in a records division of a police department; experience handling public records and requests for public records; experience working with the Clery Act.
