|Summary of Duties||
Works in the Small Animal Reception area of the Veterinary Medical Center; continuously provides front-line reception and accounting services for the Client Services area which includes greeting clients; performing registration and drop-off tasks; entering, retrieving and updating information in the computer system; handling patient releases; coordinates discharge medication retrieval and reviews discharge paperwork for complete and appropriate charges; actively assists in answering incoming and emergency telephone calls based upon monitoring of audible alerts; faxes information to referring veterinarians; assembles patient records into a standardized order; attaches loose reports to the appropriate medical record; retrieves and files medical records for clinic appropriate requests from medical center personnel; other duties as assigned; hours will include a combination of shifts (3p-11:30p) with the days subject to determination by the supervisor, to include holiday hours as needed based on team rotation; other duties as assigned; position is subject to a background check.

One year of experience (1000 hours of course work or training) in customer service or communications, including analyzing and interpreting information; six months of experience (600 hours of training) in operation of computer and related peripheral equipment; three months of experience (300 hours of course work) in information research and analysis.
Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology; previous management experience in a veterinary or other health care setting; cash handling experience; ability to lift 10- 40 lbs; exposed to animal dander daily; ability to stand for long periods of time; superb verbal and written communication skills.
