Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Project Manager of the South Carolina Childcare Inclusion Collaborative, provides training and technical assistance in the implementation of a statewide system to support inclusion in early childhood settings for the College of Education Child Development Research Center. This position will require frequent travel throughout the state and the delivery of services outside of typical business hours (evenings, weekends). This position is home based.
Required Education and Experience
Master’s degree and 2 years training and development experience, or bachelor’s degree and 4 years training and development experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and 3 years or bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience. Knowledge and experience in the use of tools to develop online training/courses/tutorials is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experience in the provision of training to childcare providers in topics that address special education methods, curricula, developmental screening and assessment, and early intervention procedures. Knowledge of SC Childcare licensing requirements and ABC standards and awareness of community services for children with developmental delays/disabilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills, computer skills that include Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), web-based software applications.
Successful applicants will have excellent written and oral communication skills, computer skills that include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and web-based software applications, the ability to lift 50 lbs., own and operate a reliable vehicle to conduct on-site visits to early childhood programs and hold a valid SC Driver’s License with a clean 10-year driving record.
