Summary:

This position is located in Omaha, Nebraska. 

The ILAC Coordinator-Omaha is responsible for the pre-departure coordination of Creighton University-sponsored programs in the Dominican Republic, including those sponsored under the Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC), the Encuentro Dominicano program, and other special programs. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, coordination of travel, tracking program fundraising and budgets, providing pre-departure and reintegration programs as needed, and coordinating with the ILAC DR-Based Team to assure smooth transitions between the US and the Dominican Republic. In addition, this position serves as a back-up for the ILAC Coordinator based in the Dominican Republic to provide on-site supervision of a high school, undergraduate, and professional groups and facilitate their experiences in the Dominican Republic when assigned. The ILAC Coordinator-Omaha also provides organizational and administrative support to the Director of ILAC Operations – Omaha. The spanish-language background is preferred.

 


Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
2-4 years of experience
  
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to travel to the Dominican Republic
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Basic knowledge of budget development
Skill in actively looking for ways to help people
Strong organizational skills to coordinate travel and activities
