Identity and Access Management Engineer
VP Technology/Infrastructure
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Identity and Access Management Engineer is responsible for technical delivery and integration for authentication, authorization, identity provisioning, and identity governance and administration (IGA) solutions across all University systems, audience types, and applications. This position continually manages the risk associated with Tulane’s identity and access management posture, collaborating with appropriate stakeholder to make necessary system-wide changes. Additionally, this position provides oversight of Identity and Access strategy for University systems reliant upon data sourced from Human Resources and Student Information Systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both non-technical end-users and technical staff. 
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to quickly learn and easily adapt to new technologies (such as risk management and security control frameworks, advanced-level cloud architecture development, etc.).
• Highly proficient security control implementation and testing skills. 
• Excellent policy and procedure development skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to provide highly efficient technical support to both technical and non-technical customers.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task and adjust to rapidly changing priorities to address/resolve the most critical/sensitive issues in a timely manner. 
• Ability to conduct highly technical risk assessments and produce clear, concise written reports in accordance with established policies, procedures and timelines. 
• Demonstrated experience on architectural design and implementation of identity and access management best practices.
Required Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of professional IT experience, preferably within the domain areas of Identity and Access Management.
OR
• High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 11 years of professional IT experience, preferably within the domain areas of Identity and Access Management.
Preferred Qualifications
• Multiple advanced level IT systems or applications certifications.
• Expert knowledge and experience with Oracle Cloud ERP implementation.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft’s Identity Management (MIM), AzureAD (Entra)/SSO/Active Directory and SAML.
• Expert knowledge of RBAC/ABAC/PBAC.
• Higher Education experience.
• Experience working in Agile teams with Scrum/Kanban/etc.

This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 28PREM.
