Responsibilities*
  • Cycle count all services ( perfusion, cardiac, multi, davinci, thoracis, cascular) 
  • Stock cores with items for all services ( lending a hand with basics as well) 
  • Open boxes from UPS and FEDEX
  • Receive in PO's - enter serial numbers into PeopleSoft- file POs by vendor
  • Call on PO's that are past due date expressed on PO
  • Calculate to order for all services depending on the day
  • Maintain and update locations for items in the core
  • Vendor relations ( bill only) 
  • Receive in PO's for Pandac
  • Work the variance for cycle counts with leads and analyst
  • Clean out OR room overstock
  • IRA: Inventory Record Accuracy
  • Product knowledge and sucession planning
  • Labeling and Storage Compliance 
  • Expired Product maintenance
  • Count Compliance and COunt TIme
  • Continuous process Improvement
  • Research and correct inventory discrepencies and investigate with root cause
  • Work closely with supply chain analysts to identify gaps to enhance cycle counting processes, reduce variation and improve inventory accuracy. 
  • Identify, implement and maintain lean/ continuous improvement initiatives, with an unrelenting commitment to improving the value of the products and services provided by the supply chain team. Smartly leaverage technology as an enabler of improvements, and effectively collaborate across the health system to enable change. 
  • Support the UMHS OR Supply Chain tem aon projects, initiatives and other tasks needed.
  • Participate in health system wide initiatives when appropriate
  • Cross- train in multiple supply chain areas to cover additional/ different supply chain responsibilities when needed

Additional Duties as required:

  • Cover basic supplies while stock keeper takes time off

Supervision Received:   Reports to Supply Chain Supervisor


Required Qualifications*
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal) with customers/clinicians and other business partners.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions, independently.
  • Goal oriented - emphasize results not effort.
  • Demonstrates ability to produce consistent, detail oriented, high quality results.
  • Experience with excel and a basic understanding of statistics and forecasting techniques.
  • Basic understanding of material flow, simulation and information analysis.
  • Duration of lifting or carrying: Will need to lift supplies weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Percent of workday standing: Less than or equal to 2/3.

Desired Qualifications*
  • Process and results focused with an understanding of data and material flows through the Operating Rooms.
  • Experience in managing inventory and various elements of the supply chain.
  • Demonstrated analytical, conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with inventory control as the main job function.
  • Bachelor?s degree or supply chain healthcare experience.
  • Experience working in PeopleSoft inventory System.

Background Screening
