UW MEDICINE IT SERVICES has an outstanding job opportunity for an IDENTITY AND ACCESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS ANALYST (IAM) position.

WORK SCHEDULE


  • 100% FTE – 40 hours per week
  • Day Shift – UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 07:00 – 16:00 (PST), Monday-Friday
  • POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Technical engineering, automation, feature development, and integration of critical identity systems and solutions including, Active Directory, SailPoint, Okta, Duo/Twilio, Exchange, and Epic and other clinical applications.
  • Partnering with application and service stakeholders to integrate UW Medicine identity and authorization platforms.
  • Providing access and authorization across the identity lifecycle that require coordination with UW Campus, vendors, and external partner organizations, such as audit remediation and cleanup, onboarding/offboarding, data management, and other access management activities.
  • Gathering business requirements and supporting vendor relationships, analysis of existing systems and program components, and the review of existing documentation.
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine.  UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Neighborhood Clinics (UWNC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW).  In addition, UW Medicine shares in the ownership and governance of Children’s University Medical Group and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (a partnership between UW Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research, and Seattle Children’s).  ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You execute system engineering activities with limited supervision across existing and emerging technology and services.
  • You support the design, management, and modification of underlying systems based on these technologies: Windows Server, Tomcat, Symantec Endpoint Protection firewall, Java and beanshell, TLS Certificates, GitHub, load balancers, Nagios monitoring, VMware, Vcenter, and vSphere.
  • You participate in the transformation of legacy systems and other enterprise data needs, including requirements gathering.
  • You build customer relationships for a multi-year IAM Transformation Roadmap.
  • You support enterprise projects focused on entity data integration around user accounts and practitioner information.
  • You participate in identifying business and functional requirements by working with application end-users, and participate in the collection, analysis, documentation, and coordination of those requirements.
  • You support internal IAM and IAM Operations team projects, quality improvement (e.g., automating quality control scripts), and process automation (e.g., getting workflow into work tickets and account/practitioner information updates).
  • You participate in research and implementation of UW Medicine technical strategies around user account and practitioner information.
  • You support the planning, design, and implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures and practices.
  • You provide ad-hoc technical assistance for problem diagnosis, resolution, and ongoing maintenance activities for partners, Senior Computer Specialists, and Systems Programmers as they relate to the use of and access to our custom IAM systems.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2+ years of overall experience to include the below.
  • 2+ years IT experience within one or a combination of the following: data analysis, data management, programming, or application support services.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently with identity services, including more than one of the following: identity governance, IAM architecture, access control, provisioning, IAM data management, or similar areas.
  • Demonstrated experience independently gathering requirements for the design, development, automation, and implementation of workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience independently conducting identity data structures, personnel data, user accounts, and user access levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in Epic and Active Directory provisioning, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with the analysis and updating personnel and/or healthcare practitioner data using IAM applications.
  • Familiarity with identity services, including more than one of the following: identity governance, IAM architecture, access control, provisioning, IAM data management, or similar areas.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements for, designing, developing, automating, and implementing workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting identity data structures, personnel data, user accounts, and user access levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in Epic and Active Directory provisioning, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with the analysis and updating personnel and/or healthcare practitioner data using IAM applications.
  • Applied knowledge of creating scripts and tools to automate tasks.
  • Understanding of IAM platforms and applications, preferably SailPoint IIQ and Okta.
  • Basic knowledge of common information security regulations and standards of HIPAA.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL skills.
  • Understanding of the role programming languages play in process improvement (i.e. data validation, data automation, data manipulation, etc.).
  • CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This is an Information Technology deadline-driven work environment.
  • The individual in this position is expected to work normal daytime hours.  The work may be performed in either an office environment or by telecommuting with manager approval, during normal business hours; however, significant off-hours and weekends may be needed to resolve problems and respond to emergencies.  This individual is expected to be available for emergencies (business continuity/disaster recovery efforts) on a 24x7 basis as needed.
  • Must coordinate projects without direct supervisory authority.
  • Must work within the constraints of multiple technical environments.
  • The individual in this position must learn many organizational structures and cultures and continually foster collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
