HVAC Technician - UC Medical Center - Plant Operations

Primary Purpose:
Operates, repairs, installs, replaces, tests and inspects both refrigeration and HVAC systems and auxiliary equipment insuring all systems are operated in a safe, reliable and efficient manager. Interprets prints, manuals and diagrams to determine layout, location, parts and supplies needed to complete work orders. Document tasks/projects as needed.

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Skills
Education: High school or GED.
Years of Experience: 2-5 years' industry experience; must have approved certificate from an accredited refrigeration/HVAC apprenticeship program and 2 years' direct work experience OR 5+ years' direct experience.Skilled in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and the operation of all refrigeration and HVAC equipment associated with a hospital. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specification manuals. Knowledge of codes and regulations.
