| Position Purpose | 1. Perform specialized and general work in the installation, adjusting, programming, maintaining, and servicing of all HVAC automation systems including all support equipment needed for the operation of equipment. 2. Operates and maintains the Universities’ computer automation systems and HVAC equipment. Programs the system for new applications and makes adjustments to the systems programs to keep it current for the changing needs of the University. 3. Participate in the design of new or modification of existing HVAC systems where the automation of those systems is a factor. Actively assists the contract manager with projects involving HVAC control systems. 4. Assist in the repair and troubleshooting of the HVAC systems and equipment. 5. Train HVAC technicians and inform building managers in the operation of HVAC systems to achieve the most economical performance if the system, while maintaining the comfort of all users of University facilities. 6. Performs preventive maintenance, as assigned. |
