Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $61,000 - $66,000/year

This position is located in the College of Arts & Sciences at the USF St. Petersburg Campus. USF's FSC is seeking a qualified Infant-Family Mental Health Therapist (position title: Human Services Practitioner) to begin work in St. Petersburg, FL in April 2024. The position is full-time with FSC's direct services clinic, the Infant-Family Center. The Center serves children newborn to age 5 who have experienced trauma or early adversity. Center services are guided by a co-parenting framework, engaging the involved parents and co-parents within the child's family network in case formulation, treatment planning, and intervention. The successful candidate will provide Child-Parent Psychotherapy and/or deliver other evidence-based dyadic and group interventions. Interventions aim to promote parental mindfulness and attunement and to strengthen child-parent bonding and attachment. Co-parenting and triadic assessments, interventions, and consultations are also incorporated as standard of care at the Center, and home visits represent a significant proportion of clinician's casework.

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

Each position assigned to this classification must require specific training at the Master's degree level in Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling. Licensure is preferred; however, experience in the field of infant and early childhood mental health may substitute this preference. Specific certifications or licensures may be required or preferred for certain program areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other field appropriate to the program content. Must be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Florida. Trained in/experienced in delivering dyadic treatment interventions to parents and infants/young children preferred.
