Description of Work Unit | Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Fort Collins is situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with views of 14,000 foot peaks, and offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and outdoor opportunities. The Colorado State Forest Service is an agency of Colorado State University, and is housed organizationally, in the Warner College of Natural Resources. The CSFS also staffs the Division of Forestry for the Colorado Department of Natural Resources. The CSFS has 17 field offices throughout the state, with a State Office located in Fort Collins on one of the foothills campuses of CSU. |
Position Summary | Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Talent Coordinator is responsible for and/or assists with all activities related to recruiting, hiring and retention; assists with HR program development; develops methods to streamline HR functions; and acts as an agency HR Liaison between the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) and CSU. |
