UW Medicine Human Resources has an outstanding full time opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The HR Specialist manages the administrative functions for the OD&T department associated with development and delivery of educational programs and events for Medical Centers faculty and staff including training room scheduling, training material and classroom preparation, budget reconciliation, purchasing, and payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary support to the Director of Organization Development and Training, including but not limited to planning meetings and events, managing electronic calendars, communication with executive leaders as well as, on occasion, all faculty and staff throughout UW Medicine.

Assists with satisfying legal and regulatory requirements such as Department of Health Surveys and Joint Commission standards.

Primary administrative oversight for the logistical aspects of programs and projects operating under the Director's purview, in order to provide effective administrative support to the programs and events sponsored by OD&T.

Deliver excellent customer service when responding to phone calls, email inquiries and visits from faculty and staff throughout UW Medicine.

Oversight for purchase and maintenance of equipment associated with delivery of educational programs and events including computers, projectors, video equipment.

Ensure the security and tracking of equipment, monitoring movement between 3-6 educational delivery sites.

Trouble shooting equipment failures as needed, responding in a timely manner.

Materials inventory; Tracking levels of commonly used materials for organization-wide events and educational programs, updating and reordering as needed.

Administrative support for OD Consultants, Systems Specialist and Orientation Specialist.

Register participants for classes; produce rosters; assist with physical/virtual training room set up, enter evaluation feedback, and assist with preparing course material.

Participate on internal and external committees and workgroups. Manage mail, forms, correspondence, and office supplies for the department.
