Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

$51,580.00

Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:

$54,159.00

To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus:

  • 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience.

The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

Job Description:

This position direct reports to the Human Resources Recruiter II. Recruiting is a centralized department, within human resources, providing support services to the entire college, which consists of one main campus and four satellite locations. You will work closely with all levels at the college – faculty, staff, administrators and periodically the President. Confidentiality, diplomacy, excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and process continuity is vital for this position. This is a fast-paced environment that requires strong attention to detail, managing multiple positions at one time, requiring the ability to manage positions at various stages. The role is responsible for full life-cycle hiring at the college, including, but not limited to: all of the stages of the recruiting process – job posting creation, verifying position description(s), hiring committee training, screening process, ranking, scheduling interviews in various modes and selection process which may include multiple levels of interviews and open forums, background and reference checks, job offers and manage an EEO volunteer program. This position will be responsible for maintaining recruitment files, data & applicant tracking files and systems, and updating HRIS systems. This position needs to be well versed in all Google apps to include zoom, calendar, and email. Will need to be knowledgeable with Microsoft products such as excel, word and power point.This position will also provide departmental support with other HR functions. The Human Resources department consists of the standard HR functions and also includes the departments of Center for Professional Development and Campus Safety & Security. Human Resources is centered on setting the example for customer service, confidentiality, consistency and maintaining the College's Values with positive team communication and collaboration.

Hiring Process:

  • Ensure integrity of the full-time hiring process.
  • Maintain Aims ERP Workday system with regard to the recruitment business processes for both internal and external applicants.
  • Responsible for sourcing and advertising with job boards, internet sites, job fairs and other avenues for attracting candidates to Aims.
  • Networking and establish partnerships job postings and participate in Job Fairs/Community Outreach/Recruiting events.
  • Work with hiring managers through the process of creating job postings with appropriate start and end dates, job description information giving applicants a realistic job preview.
  • Ensure required applicant documents are listed and questionnaires are designed to screen initial applicants.
  • Act as EEO at committee meetings, or train others to act as EEO, to ensure appropriate policy/procedures and government laws are adhered to throughout the hiring process.
  • Screen applicants for meeting minimum qualifications and review results with hiring manager/search committee chair and disposition as appropriate.
  • Assist search committee chair with selection of committees, setting up charge meetings, ranking meetings, schedule interviews and maintain all associated reports and documents in a confidential manner.
  • Assist committee with development of screening criteria, compiling ranking data and interview questions.
  • Update Workday recruiting business processes with applicant information ensuring all steps are utilized, approvals and communications are functioning as designed.
  • Facilitate deliberations at end of candidate search process to determine selected candidate or if search failed. Add notes to file, collect all committee documents used in the search process, document results in systems and maintain files.
  • Contact selected candidates on next steps to include background checks, calling references, and taking steps in system to initiate salary placement.
  • Process, scheduling interviews, background and reference checks and job offers.

Training:

  • Develop and deliver college-wide training including, but not limited to: recruitment and hire process, Workday recruiting and applicant tracking system, and other applicable trainings.
  • Recruit and train EEO volunteers (college employees).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Professional Support & Development:

  • Facilitate ADA compliance as it relates to the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Participate in college committees as needed/required.
  • Stay current in field; network with other HR professionals; attend/participate in training opportunities, read associate publications, etc.

Human Resources Support:

  • Support and participate in New Employee Orientation and New Employee On Boarding events.
  • Work with Comp/Class Analyst in updating Position Descriptions.
  • Provide support for Part Time recruiting as requested. This includes providing hiring supervisors with Chair training, WD training, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
  • Plus one (1) year of related experience such as; full life-cycle corporate recruiting: job posting, screening, interview process, background and reference checks and selection processes in a high-volume business or agency
  • OR Associates Degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience , or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Working knowledge of integrated HRIS or ERP systems, Google Suite and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Schedule management.
  • This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to accurately and consistently interpret and communicate policy and procedures.
  • Recruitment experience with a committee structure in higher education setting.
  • Experience with using technology to conduct interviews.
  • Experience using Workday ERP.
  • APHR, PHR, CP or other applicable talent acquisition certifications.
