Occ Summary

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the preboarding and onboarding process for hires, with a specific emphasis on I-9 verifications. This role requires proactive problem-solving, meticulous record-keeping, and delivering concierge service throughout the recruitment lifecycle.


Work Performed

Plan, coordinate, and actively participate in TA preboarding and onboarding programs and activities.  Guide new hires through the I-9 process, addressing any questions or concerns and providing a seamless onboarding experience.  Manage and schedule video conferencing sessions for remote I-9 verification.  Conduct thorough reviews and verification of I-9 documentation for new hires, ensuring compliance with federal requirements.  Maintain accurate and organized records of I-9 forms and related documentation.  Input and maintain relevant information through the E-Verify process to ensure compliance and accuracy in documentation.  Research and address onboarding issues promptly; escalate complex inquiries to the appropriate resource.  Collaborate with HR representatives, Talent Care Center representatives, and other stakeholders across Duke to obtain and provide necessary information.  Future state preboarding support to candidates, including but not limited to generating offer letters, initiating background checks, coordinating health screening, etc.

Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.  Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Demonstrated self-motivation, positive attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Proficiency in PC word processing, Excel spreadsheets, and related data management software.

Minimum Qualifications
Education

Work requires knowledge of basic communications, research and education mathematical principles normally acquired through a high school


Experience

Work requires the ability to review, maintain, research, and report on OR ANEQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE human resource and payroll information/activities generally acquired through five years of related experience.  Preferred experience with processing I-9 verifications.
