Summary of Job Duties:

The Human Resources Recruiter works with the RazorTemps program to meet the temporary staffing needs of the campus. Job duties include participating in recruitment events, developing strategies to attract applicants (particularly students), working with campus departments to understand temporary staffing needs, providing administrative support to the RazorTemps program, conducting training for new and potential temporary employees, working with area temporary staffing agencies, and processing applicants through the hiring process. Additionally, this position will provide assistance in other areas of recruitment and talent management including applicant tracking, background checking, and performance management.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration, organizational management or a related field

  • At least one year of experience in human resources

Applicable equivalencies may be considered.

Required License/Certification:

  • Valid Arkansas Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish)

  • Previous experience working with a temporary staffing agency

  • Previous experience working at an institution of Higher Education in Human Resources

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources

  • Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and documents

  • Ability to interpret and apply state and agency/institution policies and procedures governing human resources

  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of employees

  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports

  • Ability to work in a technological environment demonstrating proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications
