This role is performed onsite in Orchard Park, NY.

The Human Resources Payroll Specialist is responsible for performing Human Resources - related duties on a professional level and works closely with other HR team members to deliver excellent customer service to associates, managers, and faculty of Bryant & Stratton College. This position carries out responsibilities in the following HR areas: payroll, onboarding, part - time faculty administration, and benefits time management, among other areas.  Confidentiality, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, attention to detail, and accuracy are musts in this position.  This is NOT a remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and maintains accurate payroll records, identifies errors in timecard entry and corrects issues, processes payroll changes including salary changes, promotions, reimbursements, stipends, referrals, and other modifications, serves as a resource for all team members.
  • Works with Talent Acquisition to enter new hires into the HRIS and acts as a point of contact for new associates, collects and enters documents, maintains personnel records including I-9 records, tracks and maintains associate transcripts to support educational credentials.
  • Uses the HRIS to maintain reporting for headcount, turnover, overtime usage, benefit usage.  Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice and include acting as a backup for benefits administration, talent acquisition, and training and performance management.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field.
    • Advanced skills in Excel; Experience working within an HRIS.
    • Excellent customer service.
    • Two plus years of professional experience in Human Resources/Payroll administration.
    • Experience using Ultipro/Kronos (UKG) preferred.
