Job Description
HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) GENERALIST, MIT Libraries, to collaborate closely with the director of HR and the HR team. Responsibilities include managing recruitment, implementing HR policies, providing HR guidance, driving HR projects, coordinating training, overseeing records management and data integrity, supporting diversity initiatives, staying abreast of HR trends and best practices to enhance HR processes and programs continuously, facilitating communication between Library HR and central HR, and fostering harmonious workplace relations in a unionized environment.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; at least four years of HR generalist experience emphasizing recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration; comprehensive grasp of HR laws, regulations, and best practices; strong communication, interpersonal, administrative, problem-solving, and organizational skills; discretion with confidential information; proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office; ability to multitask and manage diverse tasks; attention to detail; proven history of managing HR projects end-to-end; and ability work autonomously and adapt to change with minimal supervision and despite frequent interruptions. PREFERRED: experience with database management systems, work experience in an academic setting, and familiarity with MIT operations. Job #23828-8
