Talent and Organization Development works collaboratively leadership and teams to identify business goals and create solutions and pathways to achieve the most important goals. Specifically, Talent and Organization Development is responsible for providing consulting to leaderships and units, creating development/growth opportunities for leaders, teams and staff and designs University Wide tools and strategies for performance excellence, learning, effectiveness, engagement and retention.

IU Human Resources supports the broader Indiana University academic and research mission, through a wide variety of strategic and operational functions related to recruiting, retaining, and developing a diverse employee workforce.

IU Human Resources provides university-wide services with the explicit recognition of the following customers, executives, managers, employees, and federal and state agencies. Services are intended to be provided in a partnership-environment; simultaneously accommodating fiscal realities and maintaining a commitment to quality, equity, and integrity.

Department-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Talent and Organization Development function.
  • Manages the training events system, enrollments and design; assists in the development training session materials and manages logistics.
  • Partners with consultants regarding the creation of training and OD materials, assists in the management of various projects, supports the development and management of University Wide.
  • Serves as the customer service lead for Talent and Organization Development, responding to inquiries, troubleshooting and assessing needs and referring clients.
  • Schedules trainings and meetings virtually and across all campuses of IU, manages departmental supply ordering, materials billing and travel.
  • Creates and manages analytics and evaluations of training and projects.
  • Works collaboratively on projects across the department and IUHR.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee and organizational data and projects.

General Responsibilities

  • Assists HR team by researching information and answering HR related questions.
  • Creates, compiles, prepares reports and documents for HR related activities.
  • Performs data entry for processing transactions.
  • Provides administrative support to other HR staff.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and documents.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education. 

 

EDUCATION

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 2 years Administrative support preferably providing HR support using Microsoft Office suite products

  • Possesses a working knowledge of IU systems, IUHR Training system, Zoom, Canvas, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, as well as an interest in learning and working in a variety of system applications, such as serving as collaborator with LinkedIn Learning

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$41,000 - $44,500 annually
