Position Description

The HR Consultant is responsible for the efficient delivery of HR Services to the College of Medicine (COM) and designated leaders and faculty, for providing guidance on HR policies and processes, and monitoring, evaluating and reporting progress on key metrics. Supports the HR Director by providing human resources analysis, and project work to maximize and promote the organization's strategic priorities, and maximize the HR effectiveness for all its stakeholders. Serves as a role model for staff, management, and faculty across the department and business, consistently representing the standards of service excellence. This HR Consultant position will support the COM HR team and HR programs and initiatives that identify and fulfill talent needs, talent integration and employee development. Through key partnerships, this position will help educate, advise, and support leaders on issues involving, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, change management, onboarding, coaching, organizational development, etc. Serves as an employee and culture champion and effectively and proactively communicates with key stakeholders while having the ability to translate plans and projects into operating results.

Responsibilities



  • Assist HR Director and HR Consultant team by initiating and executing foundational HR projects to increase overall effectiveness of HR to its stakeholders, and to ensure best practices are being implemented. Topics include, but are not limited to: electronic Personnel Files; Workforce Planning tools; Performance Management enhancements; policy compliance; engagement planning, et




  • Assist HR Director and HR Consultant team with managing the volume of HR actions and processes brought on by our stakeholder business needs. Identify processes to streamline, and create tools to aid stakeholders in utilizing the HR technology to its fullest. Be curious about the actions and learn the different needs of the organizations' stakeholders.

    Effectively present, communicate and consult with leaders at all levels in the organization regarding stakeholder specific issues and solutions, COM/ OHS-wide initiatives, etc.



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
