Job Description


The Human Resource Assistant will report to one of the HR Coordinators and will provide administrative support within the Campus Planning, Infrastructure and Facilities (CPIF) Team. This position will perform a wide variety of HR support tasks and administrative duties. Those will primary responsibilities include: assisting with onboarding new employees, keying in varies transactions into different systems and applications, tracking HR compliance items for the team, and maintaining human resource records for the Division of CPIF.

This position will provide essential support in an advancing team. They will work closely with the team as a whole and report to one of the HR Coordinators for direct guidance.


Required Qualifications

• Self-starter who can arrange their own work to accomplish deadlines.
• Experience providing customer service in a professional setting.
• Experience using computers including programs and software such as Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience handling and maintaining confidential records appropriately.
• Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work while managing multiple tasks simultaneously with successful outcomes within deadlines.
• Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner; interact respectfully and comfortably with individuals in a diverse, multicultural environment.
• Exercise good judgement, discretion and initiative in the workplace.
• Experience processing data efficiently and accurately.


Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a two or four-year degree; or relevant experience specifically in Human Resources.
• Experience with large relational databases and programs; such as Banner and TimeClock.
• Knowledge of university and/or state practices.


Salary Information

$15 - $16 per hour

Additional Information


• Ability to safely and frequently move and handle heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Maneuver materials up and down stairs; work for long periods of time standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing/pulling.
• Most tasks will be performed at a computer.

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
