Job Summary

The Human Resources Administrator is a seasoned professional responsible for supporting and facilitating the long-term success of UCSF Real Estate as an integral member of the Finance, Administration, and Operations team. The role requires the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, work both independently and collaboratively, stay current with technology, and demonstrate exceptional organizational and flexibility skills. The ideal candidate should thrive in supporting a large and diverse department, interact with various stakeholders with diplomacy, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit professionalism. The HR Administrator will collaborate with the Administration team to facilitate HR operations effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and external partners regarding all HR-related queries.
  • Coordinate and assist recruiters, talent acquisition teams, and other HR staff in recruitment efforts, including:
    • Understanding recruitment processes within UCSF and Real Estate.
    • Supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, including job description review, posting, applicant screening, and interview scheduling.
    • Facilitating interviews, managing post-interview processes, and summarizing information for hiring managers.
    • Developing, managing, and maintaining onboarding and offboarding resources for the department.
  • Organize and maintain personnel records, enter new data, and update previous employee information in internal HR databases.
  • Review, revise, and update department policies as necessary.
  • Prepare various HR documents, such as new hire guides, employment contracts, and compensation lists.
  • Manage and oversee the HRIS software of the organization, ensuring it is up-to-date.

The hourly compensation range for this role is 

$48.00 - 60.00

. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate, position requirements, AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.
