|Description of Work Unit||
The Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources (HDNR) is an academic unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources with undergraduate majors in Natural Resources Tourism and Human Dimensions in Natural Resources. In addition, the Department of HDNR houses Master of Science degrees in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources and Conservation Leadership, a Masters of Tourism Management, and a PhD in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources. The faculty is also active in human dimensions of natural resources research as well as outreach.

Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Fort Collins is situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with views of 14,000 foot peaks, and offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and outdoor opportunities.
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the conducting of research on the human dimensions aspects of invasive animal impacts, wildlife disease impacts and other aspects of human-wildlife conflicts. This position will work collaboratively with numerous researchers at the National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC) and HDNR to accomplish research and outreach objectives. This position was created to meet the demands associated with Human Dimensions research at the National Wildlife Research Center, as part of the cooperative agreement with the Human Dimensions of Natural Resources. The overall objectives of the position are to conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including surveys and interviews of stakeholders and decision-makers, in connection with human dimensions issues related to invasive animals and wildlife damage. The overall accomplishments of this position will be surveys, factsheets, memoranda for NWRC staff, presentations, and publications in peer reviewed scientific journals.
